Follow the Dandelions...Explore the woods...Smell the Fresh Air...Capture Smiles...Lay in the sun...Draw a picture...Stroll through the city...

I miss photogging. Last week as I was driving back from Modesto from work and there were these beautiful broken clouds with sun-rays shining upon these rich green orchards. It had just finished raining so the whole scenery was lush and green with soft orange light as the sun was about to set. The perfect place.

Some things are so troublesome. SO troublesome. Hate doing it. Can't wait until troublesomeness is over. And writing bs, i mean -- reflections is such a giant time black hole vacuum.

Quickly work with inaccurate perspective for forever pending storyboard project:

Why am i such a picky sleeper. Insommnniiaaa

Planning to do a couple shoot in the near future! Make my way to engagement/weddings. This will probably happen after midterms when I can get a break from this school mess!

Why is my book so freakin convoluted explaining pulmonary system??

Hopefully the next few weeks won't be too bad. hopefully. Stuck in a cave forever.

I miss China. And it's food. And shopping. And going out everyday.

... is such a good Beatles Song.

Sacred Heart Photo-shoot is up!

Did my first 8 hrs of IPPE volunteering at a pharm. Did about 5 consults and gave my coworker an H1N1 shot. Cool! But consulting feels slightly weird.

Finally done with editing. Here are some more photos that didn't make the cut but are nothing short of brilliant sillyness:  (click button -->)

Getting tired of old layout. Going to use this simple one for now and spice it up later.

Went to Sacred Heart today and did a photo-shoot with Mai and Margaret again! Originally was going to go to Hokane gardens but then did a spontaneous turn after spotting a beautiful orchard with barren trees. I'm sure it would have looked even more amazing if we went last year earlier in the fall when the leaves are just about to turn. Daylight is so much easier to shoot in. And the hazy clouds provided some nice soft light. The place we shot in had an old tractor which served as an interesting prop.

Was able to get some very modelesque shots. Along with some goofy juxtaposed shots.

Stole some oranges from the orange tree. They were delish.

Anyway here are some previews:

I always thought my pictures could be a little sharper. In my head I'm always thinking, Is it just me??. No it wasn't. Because there's a little setting option in the menu where you can adjust the sharpness and contrast. hahha. whoops.

After finally actively trying to read the manual for my camera, I realized I barely touched  what it can really do.

I also fiddled around with live view mode too! Pretty cool. Going to test out what i learned this weekend and see if there's any improvement. I am sooo going home.

I want a gorillapod.

I will be doing a photo-shoot of my friends Mai and Margaret again. Hopefully this time I can deliver something different!

This is my inspiration.

The rich colors.. the fantasy-like atmosphere...clarity... and extraordinary looking character of the model. Looks amazing. I am going to do that one day. Need to find some good lenses to get after I graduate = X.

Going to make it  a requirement to story-board my screenplay again. I am terrible without deadlines. I miss art classes.

And memorizing the top 200 drugs amongst a billion other things that i washed away during break haha. IPPE's coming up! I will watch House and be inspired.

... is up!

Wow editing took awhile this time.

The shoot took place in Rancho again. I seem to be running out of places. But at least it’s in a different area than from the last shoot.  This is my first group photo-shoot. It was a challenge to get everybody still and creating interesting compositions without looking too posy. There seems to always be one person blurry… or something like that. Did some mini-shoots of individuals too. The second part of the shoot was on Castro Street which has prettyyy Christmas lights. I need a tripod or something. blurriness seems to be a problem. Had to take out my sequencing shots.

So I'm at school again, back at the pharming business. Let's not think about it. I will be in denial for at least one more day.

What a fun filled break! Took a lot of pictures to remember it.  Played some charades... A LOT of charades. Best acting goes to...

Benson doing "Bollywood Movie" was pretty much amazing too but couldn't capture it because I was laughing haha.

Also created my greatest goliath cake ever.

Jon gave me a photo-shoot. It was semi-successful.

The powers of Photoshop
This break made me realize how thankful I am of my friends outside of Stockton. Aside from the small group of people that I met during freshman year that are practically my family at school (I’m just sad I can’t see half of them because we’re on different tracks) , there are really no new people that I can connect with in grad school. There’s always this slight alienation that I feel because the people around me are associated with a group. Frats are just unappealing to me for my own reasons.

And I guess the field does bring a certain breed of personality that just doesn’t click. Or maybe it’s just everybody’s façade.

Friends from home...they just feel different. Like wearing a comfy sweater.

Even though we all live all over the place, we can still come back to each other as if we were never apart, like we just saw each other the day before. My high school friends… my China friends… Even one person that I haven’t seen or talked to for a couple years fell back into proper place of how I last remembered his silly self and our fun times together.

I hope these people will walk back into my life again, often and soon.

That was one giant post for the new year.
